We had a wonderful time today at the Lunar Chinese New Year community event, kindly hosted by Easy Step UK 🧧✨

It was a beautiful outreach event filled with meaningful conversations, connection, and celebration. We were delighted to be joined by our trustees and volunteers, including Jazmine Cox (Founder), Brian Edward Cox , Josephine Chapman , Gillian Benneh , Branislav RADELJIC, PhD SFHEA , Hannah Agyeman , and Garry David Frost (He/Him) from First Step Films.

Through our DCWUK stall, we had the opportunity to connect with local residents and meet some fantastic organisations, and we’re really looking forward to exploring collaborations moving forward.

We shared information about our programmes, including:

• ESOL classes

• Smart Tech for Seniors

• Community Dance

• Volunteering opportunities

• And more community-led initiatives

We also had the pleasure of meeting key figures in our community, including Tim Bradley OBE and Edison Huynh, as well as engaging directly with community members.

As part of the day, we asked two questions focused on what people want to see more of and what they want to change in their community. We look forward to sharing our findings in a report with our stakeholders.
