It was an absolute pleasure to be invited by Christopher Cullen to speak at UCL about working in the charity sector — alongside some truly inspiring panellists!
We had honest and thought-provoking conversations about the good, the bad, and the ugly of the sector 💭 — from managing multi-million-pound humanitarian aid projects to working at grassroots community level where impact is often the most personal and profound.
I shared my own journey as Founder & CEO of DreamCatchers WorldWide (DCWUK), my experiences during a human rights internship in Singapore, and how I went on to establish DreamCatchers here in London, UK.
Speaking to the next generation of changemakers is what it’s all about — their energy, curiosity, and passion give me hope for the future of social impact work.
A huge thank you to Christopher and UCL for the opportunity — and to my fellow speakers (tagged below 👇🏽) for such a rich and inspiring discussion. Looking forward to continuing the conversation and collaborating on future events!
